The First Defenders Civil War Round Table unveiled its first-ever “member survey” during its March program. Designed to help chart the organization’s future, 33 surveys have already been returned and the results are being compiled.
In developing the survey, special attention was focused on the types of programs members would like to see in the future. Subjects included battles, politics, personalities, living historians and more, as well as whether there should be more or fewer member-produced programs and whether we should return to the “open forum/debate” style programs formerly held.
In addition to program considerations, there are also options for the time of meeting format (dinner, buffet, etc.), the level of membership dues and an opportunity to address any other topics that can help the Round Table prepare for its future.
Surveys will be available at the April program for anyone who did not have the chance to complete one last month. A copy is also on available on the website under “Newsletters” and the “Current Documents” tab.
