Following a COVID-impacted 2020 that saw Civil War tours cancelled by the score, it is refreshing to learn the Blue & Gray Education Society is ready to pick up with a full season of offerings that also include a sprinkling of Revolutionary War programs. BGES tours are by design small usually (but not always) between 8 and 18 people conducted in vans to inprove access to inacessable sites. Active members of BGES enjoy a discounted rate for tours.
The conduct of any given tour will be in strict accordance with the health guidance of the state and programs may be rescheduled or cancelled on short notice. Currently BGES is adhering to a 2 month lead time so our decisions on June programs will take place around April 1. BGES asks your forebearance as it flexes to those dictates and the guidance of its insurance company and team of physicians and nurses. BGES will always opt on the side of public safety and health.
